The aim for this project was to produce a creative writing piece to portray to the wider society, with aims to inform them of the true nature of the youth of Rawmarsh. They are a youth stereotyped with violence, drug usage and bad behaviour. We wanted to show the wider society that these youths are just as vulnerable as anybody, with life goals and self-respect.

The Rotherham Show in early September each year holds a free show with  a wide range of informative and educational displays from local and national services. Musicians across the borough and beyond are invited to showcase their talents to the public. The two day annual event has an attendance of over 80,000 people visiting over 100 marquees, stalls and attractions. There are events for all ages, from music to fairground rides and a variety of food catering for all tastes.

The Diversity Festival Group with their partners, Rotherham Borough Council and other organisational groups, have administered and organised a showcase event which is fast becoming a major part of the Rotherham Show each year. The event  promotes diversity, unity and cohesion with workshops, stalls, entertainment, music and dance. This event over the years is now known as
The Rotherham Diversity Festival (RDF) at the Rotherham Show.

The benefits of this is the increasing understanding of the different cultures within Rotherham, the coming of togetherness, basically sharing views and ideas, and overall promoting Peace and Harmony. All this and much more which is totally FREE.
