Eastwood Fun Fest
Like all towns and cities, Rotherham takes pride of its smaller communities. It is these inner city communities that produce people with wonderful and bold ideas that bring individuals together.
The Eastwood Fun Fest has been held on Eldon Road playing fields in Rotherham for some years now and has been leading up to the main event, the Rotherham Show usually a few weeks after. The community fun day provides services, a wide range of sporting activities, art workshops, music and dance.
"It's all about coming together as one big community. And everyone is invited", says Steff Little who has been in charge of the stage acts, and who has been involved for over five years.
The funding to run this one day event has been given by various partners in and around Rotherham and community donations.
Eastwood Village Community Association, just one of the many groups and partners involved, over sees the organisation and running of this great, fun day out.
"It's all about awareness for the whole community."
